Yijie Zhu is a second-year Ph.D. student at YITP. From 2022 to 2024, Yijie Zhu was a master's student under the guidance of Dr. Anze Slosar (BNL), working on 21-cm cosmology. Yijie Zhu is an excellent researcher and an extremely hard worker who has helped me implement machine learning in CoCoA in a way that is intuitive and easy to use.
Yijie Zhu recently led our final paper of the emulator series named Attention-Based Neural Network Emulators for Multi-Probe Data Vectors Part III: Modeling The Next Generation Surveys.
Yijie is deeply interested in studying the intrinsic alignment of optical galaxies and how its modeling can affect inferences of beyond-LCDM studies using the Roman Space Telescope. His leadership within Roman is helping advance our cosmology capabitilies within the Project Infrastructure Group named Maximizing Cosmological Science with the Roman High Latitude Imaging Survey.
Invite him for a talk!
Yijie is also a piano player and regularly performs on campus. Below is a video where he played some Rachmaninoff with friends in Staller Center of Arts.
